I thought the War on Drugs made no sense in the 1980s, and began to speak out. By the end of the 1990s, I had created a hemp jewelry company which gave me the excuse to speak out about why hemp should be made legal. I advocated for Amendment 20 in 2000, and participated in public comment on the original rule-making for medical marijuana. While I’ve never been in the legal marijuana business, I’ve had a front row seat and have many opinions on the pros and cons of Colorado’s legalization, as well as efforts elsewhere.
